Wayne Street Tattoo Company, Tattoos and Piercing
New Address!
We are now at 222b North Wayne Street. 2 1/2 blocks north of our old location.

Piercings at Wayne Street Tattoo Company!!!
We are finally offering piercings!!!

Ok... so we've actually been offering piercings since back in September or so, but this is the first time I've updated in over a year.

We have an awesome selection of jewelry, including plugs up to 2".
THE GALLERY IS FINALLY OPENING!!!
Wayne Street Tattoo Company is hosting its first gallery opening to celebrate Beer Can Appreciation Day. The day commemorating that date in 1935 when the ubiquitous beer can was first brought to the market. We are looking for art relating to beer cans, drinking beer, created while drinking beer, or just art that people drinking beer may like. We're not all that picky.

Showing will open January 24, 2008. Submissions must be received by January 11, 2008 for consideration.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

General Gallery Submission Guidelines
from your ever loving gallery curator, Thomas.

Curatorial Emphasis: We are looking for art that fits within that (oftentimes a misnomer) genre called LOW BROW. What does that mean? Well to me (and as it is my party, I make the rules) that means when you look at it you know what it is. No canvasses that look like drop cloths.

Criteria: All work represented by the gallery is judged by myself, Sidney Kimberly, an assorted gang of idiots, and whoever happens to wander by for appropriateness based upon quality, subject matter, and general coolness.

Non-Discrimination: It is the gallery's policy not to discriminate on any basis other than the above criteris.

Submission Instructions: Include images of recent available work on CD-ROM or color prints. Include a list identifying all images. Indicate artist name, date, title, medium, and price (if for sale). Include artist statement and resume. Complete submissions packages should be delivered to the gallery at 112 South Wayne Street.

Additionally: We are not a full time art gallery. This space is being provided as an attempt to expand the idea of small town art. I get frustrated when I walk into local arts galleries and see nothing but water colors of sunsets and woven baskets. I am not an art history majoy, experienced curator, or beret owner. Just to write these guidelines I had to rip off some other gallery's guidelines I found online.
